  It was a cozy little run down place with a lot of still life frames all around. French onion soup was a standard, cheesy and salty kinda soup. Escargot was not too flavorful but that's just me. I'm sure some people like it just oiled and lightly salted. Also had croque monsieur, which was also a little bland... Everything was a little bit overpriced for what you get and they were out of coffee, so that sucked too :( not too many beer selections but try their wine. You have to ask for the wine list. This one man was hosting, serving, bussing and running food so respect that and try not to complain about slow service.

  Been back many times. ..always great food and wonderful experience. Casual recommendation from local in the 90s has become a must stop on every trip.
  Sat with the owners several times and they are always welcoming and talented hosts
  After my first dinner I had to change my travel plans and spent several additional days enjoying the 395 guidebook recommend side trips.......and dinners at the still life.
